K-Love Christmas: Steven Curtis Chapman, Plumb, We Are Messengers & Marc Martel

6th December 2017 - Wednesday 19:00

K-Love Christmas, the all star concert featuring Steven Curtis Chapman, Hillary Scott, and We Are Messengers are bringing their signature sounds to the Riverside Theater!

We Are Messengers was formed in Monaghan (Ireland) in 2015 by lead vocalist and lead guitarist Darren Mulligan, vocalist Heidi Mulligan, guitarist Caleb Clingan, drummer Alex Mc Vey, and bassist Matthew Montgomery. Their musical style is best described as a blend of Christian rock (a form of rock music that promotes Jesus and is typically performed by self proclaimed Christian individuals and bands whose members focus the lyrics on matters of Christian faith), Christian pop, sunshine pop (a subgenre of pop that developed from easy listening, advertising jingles, and the growing drug culture of the 60’s), pop rock (a genre that originated in the 1950s, influenced by the beat, arrangements, and style of rock and roll but with a greater emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft), and soft rock (a subgenre of pop music that largely features acoustic guitars and slow to mid tempos). They’ve released 1 studio album, 5 singles, and they’ve been nominated for a Gospel Music Association Dove Award (for New Artist of the Year). Big Daddy Weave is a contemporary Christian music band composed of Mike Weaver, Jay Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Joe Shirk, and Brian Beihl. They’ve won a Dove Award for Christmas Album of the Year.
