Former First Lady of the United States Hillary Clinton is presenting her latest memoir (What Happened) at the Riverside Theater!
Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton was born in Chicago in 1947 and is a politician and a member of the Democratic Party. She was the First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001, a U.S Senator (representing New York) from 2001 to 2009, and the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. She ran for president in 2008 but lost the Democratic Party nomination to Barack Obama. She ran for president again in 2016, received the party's nomination, but lost the election to her Republican opponent Donald Trump. She's received many distinctions including honorary degrees from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, University of Pennsylvania, Agnes Scott College near Atlanta, University of Gothenburg, Mount Saint Vincent University, University of Ulster, Yale University, and University of St Andrews. She's also received a Living Legacy Award from the Women's International Center, Albania's Mother Teresa Award, the American Medical Women's Association's President’s Vision and Voice Award, and many other accolades. In her latest memoir (titled What Happened and coming out on 12th September 2017), Hillary describes her experience of running for president during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in American history.
